Giancarlo Rolla is professor of constitutional law at the University of Genoa. He taught in the Universities of Cagliari, Siena and Genoa. He was dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Siena and director of the Specialization School for civil servants and managers of the same University.
At present, he is the Director of the Research Center on comparative constitutional systems of the University of Genoa. He was Visiting Professor in many foreign universities in Granada, Barcelona, Madrid and Toronto.
He is a member of national and international law associations. He was a consultant and he took care of the training for many private and public organizations such as the Region Sardinia, Toscana, Puglia, Piedmont and Liguria.
He wrote many academic handbooks among which: “L'ordinamento di Comuni e Province", Milan, 2000; "Diritto regionale e degli enti locali", Milan, 2003; "Il sistema costituzionale italiano",3 vol., Milan, 2005.
He wrote many essays and articles, especially on economic constitution, regionalism, constitutional justice and safeguard of the fundamental rights.
